Time For The Republican Train to Pull Out of Crazy Town; no end government shutdown!

I’m so tired of the Republican's do-over demands. How many times have they voted to repeal/defund Obamacare (Affordable Care Act)? 42 times since they took control of The House! Like Chicken Little's chirping “The sky is falling!” their apocalyptic warnings of the impending doom sure to follow the affordable healthcare act would be humorous...if it wasn't so darn frustrating. They keep forcing us to waste time on this senseless debate at the expense of other important matters. C'mon guys! Eric Cantor, live up to your job title and lead the GOP out of crazy town! John Boehner, for pity's sake speak up for a little common sense and sanity from your party!

This latest tactic: tying the law to passing a budget is beyond childish. This party of 'my way or the highway' is holding the country hostage. The abuse of power is breathtaking, and their claims that a government shutdown will be is President Obama's fault for not giving in to their demands is typical abuser-speak. I'm sorry, Repubs, no matter how you spin it, we're not buying it. A shut-down will be is your doing...and quite possibly, your undoing.

Your nay-saying would carry a lot more weight if you could say Obamacare hasn’t worked. Instead you are prophesying: saying it won't work before its even gone into effect. You're panning a movie you haven’t seen...banning a book you haven’t read. Give it a chance to work before you decide it doesn’t. And before you say the POTUS doesn't know either – the pertinent point here is ACA is the law. Wait and see and if it doesn't work - then your complaints will be viewed as reasonable. I'll let you in on a secret – even us supporters aren't going to back a bill that hurts us.

The Henry J Kaiser Family Foundation came up with a nifty Subsidy Calculator to help figure out the cost of getting health insurance through one of the government exchanges. The costs will vary from place to place, and of course income and family size are factors, but nonetheless it can give you an idea of what to expect. I got some very encouraging numbers when I used it to calculate the costs for a few uninsured family members and friends. They will finally be able to afford insurance!

It's time for you in the House to do the will of the people. We voted for Obamacare, we want Obamacare, now get out of the way and let Obamacare happen. You may think of yourselves as 'The Grand Old Party”, but “the times they are a'changin”... it's a new day in America. If you can't keep up, maybe it's time for you to step down.
